I hold a Bachelor of Arts in the Teaching of Spanish from the University of Illinois, Urbana- Champaign. I am working towards a master's in Curriculum and Instruction with an ESL focus. My educational training includes coursework at the Instituto de San Joaquin de Flores in Costa Rica. It was a great opportunity for me to personally learn about the culture of Costa Rica. I'm now working towards a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with a specialty in ESL. At the present time, I am employed as a full time Spanish teacher. I love to teach Spanish and always focus on including student-centered activities in my lessons. Whenever I teach or tutor, I always try to instill confidence and provide the learning tools my students need. I love to tutor students of Spanish Levels 1-4. I can also assist with study skills and English. When I am not tutoring, I love to practice yoga, spend time with family and friends, and explore various parts of Chicago.
