I attended the University of California, Berkeley, and Cornell University, where I obtained English degrees from both universities.As a tutor, one of my main priorities is improving a student's confidence. I try to introduce students to abilities they were not aware that they possessed, as writing and reading are more enjoyable if students believe they are good at them. I am passionate about helping my students be able to communicate well through effective and clear writing. I have been teaching English as a second language, music theory, literature, and writing for years, and am eager to guide my students into the world of language.I tutor students in ESL/ELL, writing, essay editing, literature, college essays, public speaking, reading, English, American literature, British literature, expository writing, literary analysis, persuasive writing, short novel, world literature, and Spanish.In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, yoga, meditation, horror movies, and making new friends. I used to be a musician and songwriter (vocals, electric bass, and guitar) who performed and recorded my original music.
