My first tutoring assignment happened while I was still trying to obtain my undergrad. After graduating with a degree in math from Notre Dame, I began work as a math teacher. Eventually, I returned to school at Northwestern to master in secondary math education. Obviously, my specialty is numbers. I really enjoy helping others love them as I do. The mathematical subjects I cover include algebra, algebra 2, precalculus, AP calculus AB, geometry, AP statistics, trigonometry, and finite math. I also know how to get students ready for college entrance exams and AP exams. This preparation covers the ACT test, ACT Aspire, Aspire Math, and SAT.When I work with an arithmetic novice, I want him or her to learn all the numerical knowledge that schooling provided for me. After laying the groundwork with solid theories and practice problems, I test comprehension by seeing how well he or she can show me the components on which we have worked. In other words, I let the student become the teacher by explaining the work without guidance or notes. If they succeed, I have succeeded.If not in the classroom or trying to figure out how to relay my love of numbers, I enjoy playing Sudoku and reading books.
