Experience

I tutored a high school junior in Honors Pre-Calculus, I tutored students in 1st grade-5th grade once a week while I was in high school, and I mentored two second graders while I was in eight grade. I want to be a tutor because I believe the heart of our society lies within the children of our society. Many schools have become over crowded in Chicago due to school shut downs and as a result many children struggle with their studies. I would like to help these children succeed in school so that they can succeed later in life. I believe I will be a good tutor because I have a lot of patience with children and I believe that I am good at communicating with them. I also know a lot of different study methods so I believe that I will be able to find a study method that works for the child that I will tutor. I would also be willing to tutor other law school students. During my first semester of law school I had peer mentors that helped me with any questions I had. I believe that I would not have done as well in my classes as I did if I did not have these peer mentors. Therefore, I would like to pay it forward and help others succeed as I did.
