Calista S.
Private tutor in Chicago, IL
Education
BA in Humanities from Yale University; Class of 2014
Experience
I am a graduate of the 2014 class of Yale University, and have been working with middle and high school students for a number of years teaching theater, performance, and public speech. As a tutor I emphasize 1) productivity and 2) fun. I know how stressful school can be, and I hope to provide that extra boost of motivation and energy needed to get through a long day of class. My favorite study techniques include, but are not limited to: making flashcards and study sheets, flash-round five-minute out-loud quizzes, taking dance breaks to shake off stress, researching documentaries or novels related to the subject material at hand (to be watched/read later on), going to the library and checking out primary source material, and the list goes on. My academic qualifications are below. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to arrange a meeting!
