EducationWashington University in St. Louis - BA, Pre-med/Psychology, Minor in Gender Studies
ExperienceI majored in psychology and had a minor in women and gender studies at Washington University. While there, I completed all of the pre-medical requirements. After I graduated, I began working at a social service agency. I worked with young adults who have Asperger's.My tutoring experience is extensive and it includes mentoring the young and old, and even those with various learning or developmental disabilities. It is through those experiences that I have learned how to approach all students as the unique people that they are. After all, all students have their own set of limitations, strengths, and styles of learning. I tailor my style of tutoring to meet their needs and will reassess those needs as time moves on.I have a vast amount of knowledge in a variety of subject matters. Some of the courses that I can help my students with include many math topics, such as algebra 1 and 2, arithmetic, calculus 1, elementary and middle school math, precalculus, and trigonometry. I am also available to help with other courses such as science, special education, chemistry, study skills, reading, test prep, and study skills and organization.During my spare time, I find that I enjoy painting, running, rock climbing, camping, and women's health.
