Experience

When I tutor, I believe that dialog is so important to learning, because we need to explain why and how someone is wrong. I work to develop a critical eye in my students. The goal is for them to think logically instead of simply memorize everything they come across. I can tutor all sections of the ACT and SAT to help prepare for these important tests and tutor French, English, Spanish, U.S. and European history, social studies, and essay editing as needed.Hungarian is my native language, but I have studied Spanish and Russian as well. The passion for languages I have is motivating and has benefited my studies and teaching abilities. I graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Literature and a concentration in French. I even studied in Paris for a semester and gained much valuable experience speaking a language native to the people there. When I am not helping students learn a language or prepare for a test, I enjoy reading and writing on my own free time. These are life passions I always intend to pursue. I also like to play the bass whenever I get the opportunity.
