Education

University of Michigan - Ann Arbor - BA, Political Science (2011); Loyola University Chicago School of Law - JD, Law (2014)

Experience

Background: In high school, I took nearly every AP course offered at my school, including English (11th and 12th grade), Government, Spanish, and Calculus AB, earning a score of 4 or 5 on all of my exams. I also studied piano, violin, and music theory for over 10 years and consistently placed among the top four pianists at statewide competitions in the state of Michigan during 11th and 12th grade. I took both the SAT and ACT, earning a score of 2160 on the SAT (Math: 760; Writing: 720; Reading: 680) and 31 on the ACT (Math: 33; Reading: 31; Writing: 31; Science: 29). After high school, I attended University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where I obtained my Bachelors in Political Science with a minor in Moral and Political Philosophy. I studied all areas of political science but focused primarily in American Political Science and Comparative Political Science, more specifically ethnic conflict in Central Asia and Africa. I graduated in three years in the top 25% of my class. Right after I graduated undergrad, I went on to law school at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. I studied primarily tax and general corporate law but was also very involved in the advocacy program. During my second year of law school, I competed in a moot court competition where I took first place at the regional competition and earned third best speaker at the national competition. I competed in an international arbitration competition in my third year of law school that took me all over Europe and ultimately to Vienna, where my partner and I made a strong showing and earned an honorable mention for our brief. After law school, I worked at an insurance defense firm practicing in insurance coverage and defense litigation. My writing skills are top notch, as are my public speaking skills (didn't see that as an option but happy to help with public speaking as well!) Three years after law school, I left the corporate life to pursue online marketing. I've been a successful online marketer and content creator over the last three years or so and would love to teach others how to do the same. Although I don't have formal marketing education, I have taken plenty of online courses in social media marketing and can teach the practical side of marketing. Tutoring Experience: With regard to academic tutoring, I have tutored mostly at the university level but am open to working with high school students as well. With regard to piano, I've taught mostly younger children/beginners in the past. I most enjoy teaching children as they are the best listeners and best at following instruction! I also love seeing the musical talent and potential in children and helping establish solid base for them so that they sky is their limit with what they can accomplish musically!
