I graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Anthropology and a B.B.A. in Marketing. While I was an undergraduate, I worked as a writing tutor. As a tutor, I made it my mission to help my peers strengthen their weaker points in essay writing. Through my experience in tutoring, I found that helping others achieve their full potential is one of my passions. In addition to tutoring, I worked alongside English language learners and helped them gain a better understanding, both academically and culturally, while studying at our university.I enjoy working with various students of different backgrounds, ages, and cultures. Each student has a different style of learning, and as the tutor, I work to make a comfortable and positive atmosphere for each student to study in. It is important to evaluate each student, looking at his or her needs, personality, and learning style and generate a lesson based upon one's observations.I intend to further my studies in the coming years and apply to master's and doctorate programs in anthropology. I am capable of tutoring students of all ages in elementary and middle school math, algebra, English, reading comprehension, essay writing, Spanish, social sciences, and university entrance exam preparation.
