I am a tutor who has worked with students from many grade levels on a variety of subjects. I'm available to help students in algebra, calculus, geometry, statistics, trigonometry, chemistry, history, computer science, and with a multitude of other courses. I can help prepare students for standardized tests like the SAT, SSAT, TOEFL, ACT, and others. I also tutor in Spanish. I received my degree in Computer Science from Grinnell College. I have worked with middle school students and high school students in the Chicago area in many different subjects. I have experience working with adult students as well. I've taught ESL to students abroad in Colombia and Ecuador. I don't believe in just giving students the information and answers. As a tutor I like to help my students discover the answers on their own. This is what helps them grow as learners and students. When I'm not tutoring I like to read books and spend time outdoors. I love to bike, canoe, and go camping. I'm also an avid game player - you'll often find me playing scrabble or bridge.
