EducationRochester Institute of Technology - BS, Physician Assistant
ExperienceI earned my undergraduate degree in science at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Upon graduation, I began work as a Physician Assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Cardiac Surgery Unit. I truly loved my time working in the field but I found what I enjoyed most were the opportunities that I was given to teach. Sometimes this occurred when patients or their families were attempting to more fully understand their condition but other times it was with the newly hired staff, medical students going through one of their rotations, or students trying to decide what major to pursue in college. Each time I was given the opportunity to sit with someone new and share what I love about the field became the highlight of that day.
I unofficially began tutoring others in math and science when I was in middle school. My love of the subjects made it easy for me to break the concepts down and explain them in an easily accessible manner to others. I continue to do this now with students at all levels in a variety of subjects, including algebra 1 & 2, calculus 1-3, differential equations, anatomy and physiology, geometry, biology, elementary math, chemistry, statistics, trigonometry, middle school science, physics, biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, microbiology, physics, physiology, multivariable calculus, biochemistry, and many other science and math subjects as well as test prep for the SAT, HSPT, and SSAT.
