I am a highly educated professional with multiple degrees related to the field of education including an Ed. S in administration, a master's degree in curriculum and instruction, and multiple relevant certificates in the area of Language Arts, Supervision, and Classroom Management.My experience in tutoring and teaching is both lengthy and broad-based, dating back to 1995 when I began working with young people of all ages in the greater Chicago area as a facilitator and instructor in a variety of academic settings. This includes an opportunity to work with students in public and private schools as well as providing support through nonprofit organizations and museums. In addition, I have an impressive portfolio of educational resources that I have developed and delivered to school districts for multiple subject areas and grade levels.Literature and the language arts are my favorite curricular areas in which to tutor young people, but the social sciences are a close second. I have learned that all people have the capacity to learn - and it is the delivery of the instruction that makes the difference. Through the use of multiple tools including differentiation, modeling, and scaffolding information my students have enjoyed great academic success.
