I've been a tutor for four years; tutoring grades K-12 in various subjects including Statistics, Calculus, Algebra, English, and Science. My favorite subjects to teach are Math and Writing. While I love writing, I understand everyone does not share my affection for the craft; however it's a skill worthy of mastering. I prefer the Socratic method for teaching. Students are more effective learners when they are active, rather than being forced to memorize and passively learn. During a tutoring session they are in a supportive environment where they can make mistakes without a penalty as failure is crucial in learning. I attended the University of Michigan and received a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.), and a Master's in Industrial and Operations Engineering (M.S.E.). I enjoy sports - tennis being my favorite. I'm also a father and aspiring screenwriter. Most days I spend writing, fixing up my home, and caring for my daughter.
