I graduated from Butler University in 2012. I teach at Herron High School, where I just completed my first year as a teacher. The high school I work for is a reputable public, college-prep institution that works off of an arts-based historical timeline. This last year, I taught English (including Honors) to ninth graders. I recently moved to Chicago, IL, where I intend to continue working as a teacher. I thoroughly enjoy teaching students and helping them to succeed in their coursework. As a teacher, I find it important to show enthusiasm, empathy, and encouragement in my work. I have an extensive area of expertise when it comes to what I can tutor. I feel comfortable helping students needing assistance in Literature, Arithmetic, Elementary Math, Phonics, Reading, Writing, English, among others. I can also work with students in improving essay editing skills and the mastery of grammar and mechanics. I can also work with students on test preparation (AP English Language and Composition, ISEE- Lower, Middle, and Upper Levels, SSAT- Lower, Middle, and Upper Levels). In my free time, I enjoy reading, biking, running, and following my alma mater's basketball team.
