Working as a teacher and tutor helping students to raise the scores on their ACT for the last three years has made this Duke graduate realize that helping students is dear to my heart. My students on average score 4 to 9 points higher on their ACT after tutoring and leave me having more confidence in their work and ready to take on whatever comes to them education wise. One of my favorite stories is of the senior in college I worked with who hated math. I was able to help this student score 100 percent on the final through the hard work and determination of us both. Though the ACT is where my major tutoring abilities lie, I have coached my younger siblings and classmates through everything from writing and calculus to Shakespeare and other courses. My pursuits outside of my love for tutoring include spending time with my puppy, who will sometimes run with me and sometimes not, sewing, and curling up to read a good book on occasion. While I am busy practicing my life coaching on a daily basis, my love is teaching and I am looking forward to helping your student achieve all of their educational goals.
