Hi! I am Hannah, a tutor living in Chicago, Illinois. The subjects that I can tutor include test preparation for different types of examinations and subject matter, such as ACT math and science, ASPIRE math, and SAT English, math, and writing. Other content areas that I also tutor in are Spanish, calculus 1, and algebra 2. My specific approach to tutoring students is to help them realize how much knowledge they actually have in a content area. This often entails helping them work through problems by asking questions and assisting them to remember or access prior content knowledge required for the solution of a particular problem. One aspect that I like about tutoring is meeting students and establishing a one-on-one relationship with them. This also helps me find out about a student's own particular learning style. I attended the University of Rochester, where my fields of study included math, public health, and Spanish. I also earned my degree from this institution. I am currently a graduate student working towards a degree in women and gender studies. My work experience includes my job as a math teacher in a high school of the Chicago public school system. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, cooking, and dancing. I am also getting to know the Chicago area, which is my new home town.,
