Hello, my name is Benjamin, and I am located in Chicago, IL. I am eternally interested in people and learning, so tutoring is a great job for me. I enjoy the opportunity to meet different people with a diversity of interests, experiences, and ways of thinking. I always learn something new and fascinating with every student I tutor. I find fun in helping students to tackle problems, especially standardized tests. To me, these tests, such as the ACT and SAT, are like puzzles to solve and master, and I love helping students to meet that challenge.I worked for the tutoring company while I was studying at Northwestern University, then took some time off to finish my degree, which is in Theater with a Business Institutions minor. Acting and directing are my passions, and I find that they have helped me to become a better teacher. They have taught me to listen deeply and communicate clearly, both of which are essential to effective tutoring. When I am not working, I like to enjoy theatre, arts, movies, music, reading, and physical exercise. I am available to tutor in a wide range of subjects including ACT, SAT, and PSAT preparation, mathematics, science, and English.
