I have worked extensively as a writing tutor at SAIC for the last year, working one on one with students and alumni, writing essays, artist statements, grant proposals and thesis papers. Before coming to graduate school in Chicago I worked as a seventh grade Language Arts teacher in Baltimore Maryland. I am a published writer/ freelance journalist with work in local Chicago publications as an art critic. I have recently published a book of short stories available at local independent book shops here in Chicago.
