With over 25 years of corporate finance experience, I began teaching finance 10 years ago at 2 schools in the Chicago area. My interest in college teaching began in the corporate setting when I conducted many finance seminars for various different corporate functions, so that they could use accounting/finance more effectively in their daily jobs. I have found that there is nothing more exciting in teaching, than seeing a student's eyes 'light up' when a concept/theory/calculation becomes crystal clear to them. As not everyone learns the same, the challenge is working with students to make the material relevant and understandable to them on an individual level. Not everyone is going into finance as a profession. Yet, finance principles impact our lives daily. If the course material can be conveyed in such a manner as to not only to make sense, (realistically ... everyone wants to pass), but also to have practical application, then my position as teacher/tutor will have benefits. That is my goal when working with you.
