Hello, my name is Sugandhi, and I would love to be a tutor for those who may be looking to work with an aspiring educator. I gained teaching experience through tutoring and mentoring opportunities throughout my years as a student, and most notably through my student teaching experience at two CPS high schools. During student teaching, I taught English writing, literature (including AP Literature), and ACT prep. While I truly enjoyed working with groups of students, I found working with students one-on-one to be extremely effective and rewarding. I have also worked with numerous students on their undergraduate and graduate admissions essays, all of whom were successfully accepted into a top-choice university. Writing an exceptional college essay takes more than patience, and I am eager to work with students to help them in their pursuit of an outstanding essay. I would also be willing tutor anyone in Japanese (reading, writing, and speaking). I believe that every student has the potential to succeed academically, and I am looking forward to providing support to those who may benefit from my talents and qualifications.

Hobbies
I enjoy reading (currently in the middle of The Book Thief), writing, cooking, and spending time with my friends and family (husband and 6-month-old daughter). I also love meeting new people and making new personal connections.
