Through my education and professional experiences, I have acquired a particular set of skills in the area of communication - writing, orating, public presentations, and editing. I've developed a keen eye in these areas, and admittedly, learning something new every day. My education revolved around the creative process, professional business writing, and creative writing. I took classes in writing, reporting, public relations writing (business writing), and advertising copywriting (creative). Professionally, I've written opinion pieces for blogs and newspapers, copy edited large industry publications, and completed several freelance projects. I'm happy to provide samples for any of these areas.

Since I'm one of five boys growing up in a loud and energetic household (throw in 40 first cousins to boot!), I understand the craziness that is childhood. Whether it's social, school, or family difficulties, I saw all and knew it was a part of my growth process. I was diagnosed with ADD in high school and learned to manage the challenge (one man's curse is another man's fortune!) in the educational setting through college. I turned to passions in my life to harness focus - writing, food, sports, family, and traveling. It was about being me and being real. As Hemingway said, "All you have to do is write one true sentence. Write the truest sentence that you know.” It's the same in life. Be true to yourself and you'll find more contentment in your everyday actions. Life will always be a challenge, but it's our support system that keeps us strong and thriving everyday.
