Experience
I've tutored a middle school student in beginners Chinese language. While in China I tutored both middle school aged students and adults in beginner and intermediate English I graduated Summa Cum Laude from DePaul University, and was awarded the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences annual Distinguished Senior Award for Chinese language. As a sophomore in college I won second place in the Chinese Consulate's Midwest Regional Chinese Speaking Contest, and second place later again in a speaking test while studying abroad at Nanjing University. I would like to tutor because I have a passion for studying the Chinese language and for learning about other cultures and places in the world. I would love the opportunity to help spark that interest in others. I love the experience of witnessing how students gradually improve and incorporate new material on their own as they continue to learn.
