Experience

Currently a statistics teacher for undergraduate students 6 years experience as a private tutor 3 years experience as an SAT/ACT teacher 33 ACT/ 34 Math ACT / 35 Science ACT 770 Math SAT 780 Math GRE We too often attribute intelligence with innate ability, when really it's about being willing to take on challenges, persevering, and learning from mistakes! With good guidance, students can come to view intelligence as an active learning process rather than an inborn trait. Though I've been happy to see my students experience successes with elevated test scores, my moments of greatest success are when my students realize that they are capable in a field in which they once thought themselves "dumb." In turn, this translates to other areas in their life: with effort, perseverance, and assistance, they learn to see that they are capable of mastering an area of knowledge, a feat which is, without a doubt, empowering.
