After high school, I knew that I had to do something different. I was tired of the suburban lifestyle and I needed to get away. From 2007-2008 I lived in the town of Piñas, Ecuador with an AFS foreign exchange program. That year completely changed my life. Besides making friends from all over the world, I fell in love with the people, culture and language of Ecuador. My time spent abroad, and the family and friends that I left behind, have influenced every day I've spent in this country since my return. This passion that I have for the Spanish language and Latino culture is one that I will gladly share with your student. Spanish is one of the most important languages in the world today, and in my opinion, one of the most beautiful and fun to learn.
