Education

I graduated from Grant High School in Portland Oregon with a GPA of 3.7, and I am currently attending the Art Institute of Chicago.

Experience

I taught after school musical theater classes for two years. My students were 11-13 years of age, and I was the musical director of an a capella group for two years. My reading and writing SAT scores were very high, and I took Honors English, AP english, AP art, and college level social studies classes in high school. I would like to be a tutor because I have a passion for teaching and I am good at it. I like to work one-on-one with kids, and I think that that is a service that very few kids receive through the public school system. I have always loved to learn for the sake of content, rather than for the sake of reward, and I have been known by teachers throughout my educational career to give one hundred and twenty percent, even of only one hundred present is sufficient to receive an A, because I believe in the significance of the subject matter. I have been playing piano for fourteen years and took lessons for ten years, I've been playing guitar for nine years, I took voice lessons for six years, and I was the student leader for the elite choir at my high school. As student leader, I had responsibilities as a tutor and director. I create and sell art work through street fairs, bazaars, and personal exhibitions. Now I am attending the Art Institute of Chicago to obtain my BFA. Feel free to contact my previous employer, Xandy Zublin at 707-599-4293.
