Math Tutor (2006-2007) Spanish Tutor (2007-2008) SAT Score - 1920 I've always loved tutoring, primarily because I feel it is important for young minds to have a prominent mentor figure in their lives. To know someone who has knowledge to pass on to you and who can enrich your life through friendship as well is something a student takes away for the rest of his or her life. While this mantra may pertain more thoroughly to someone pursuing a degree in teaching, tutoring fits my personal schedule better because I do look to expand my art practice in my free time. Tutoring allows me to give and gain something while also giving me flexibility to pursue careers in writing and film. Along with tutoring I have participated in art shows and even spent a summer in a kitchen at a French restaurant. While these don't pertain to regular academia, I feel it broadens my perspective and makes me feel well-rounded, but we'll see if that last bit is actually paying off.

Hobbies
I enjoy anything artistic - fine art, film, design, architecture, etc. - and also love to take part in athletic activities. I played field hockey and lacrosse in high school, and try to play basketball and soccer and anything else that supports healthy and fun competition as a leisured activity. I have also taken a recent interest in politics, and while I know nothing about them, I am always looking to learn more about the history of our country and its inside policies.
