Experience
You want to improve your basic Accounting knowledge or skill level in QuickBooks for business applications... I am certified by the State of Illinois to teach both Basic and Business Accounting. I have taught these courses at the above school as well as the B.I.R. Training Institute in Chicago. I am QuickBooks Certified to teach the practical use of their Software programs and am thoroughly familiar with all version releases through 2013. You've applied for a Bank Operations Position and you want to stand-out from the other new Employees... I am a Retired Bank Controller who started as a teller and went on to head up the International Banking and Business Institute in Los Angeles as their Faculty Administrator. I have also started 2 new Savings and Loan Associations and a Credit Union in California. I am a Graduate (In Bank Operations) of The Banking Institute completing courses in both Chicago and San Francisco. MY STYLE OF TUTORING AND TEACHING: I take an approach which is very inter-active with all of my students (whether one-on-one or in a classroom setting). My first course of action is to determine my student(s) proficiency level and build upon that. I believe that learning is most accomplished when the setting is relaxed yet professional. Humor achieves more in retention than criticism. As my experience working with the Japanese has taught me - learning needs to be 'PARTICIPATORY'. All views count and 'No Question' is dumb. Testing is always important and the repetition of important elements of a subject proves to achieve long lasting knowledge. Thank you. Sincerely, V.Paul
