Education

Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine, MD Candidate (2017) Northwestern University B.A. Political Science (2012) I am a medical student at the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine in downtown Chicago, and I have had years of tutoring experience in Chicago and Boston. I was part of the 7-year direct Honors Program in Medical Education (HPME) at Northwestern, where I was accepted to both Northwestern's undergrad and medical school out of high school. I graduated undergrad with a BA in Political Science in 2012, and I will graduate medical school in 2017. I am pursuing Emergency Medicine residency.

Experience

Extensive previous tutoring experience in all math, science, english, writing topics and SATs, APs, and ACTs. Offer guidance in pre-med, med school admissions as well. ACT 35 SAT 2360 Along with tutoring for the SATs (both Math and English) and AP Bio, Chem, and Physics, I also personally mentor aspiring medical students. Many of the individuals I've mentored have also been accepted to medical school, or direct medical programs and Ivy Leagues out of high school. As a Poli Sci major and essay enthusiast, I also can help with essay writing in all topics. When I meet with middle school, high school, and undergrads who I tutor, I don't waste their time and money with pointless hour-long evaluations- instead, I quickly try to understand what concepts they are having trouble with and create worksheets with problems that target those concepts. I also believe that students should always strengthen the concepts they already know well, so I incorporate more challenging problems with concepts they are familiar with to further solidify their knowledge. This balanced approach allows the student to keep on learning with positive reinforcement and high self-esteem. For these tailored services, I am able to charge a low fee of $50/hour. I am based in Streeterville (near Navy Pier) and am accessible anywhere near El lines. I feel that students have the most success learning in a quiet place, such as a library. The Northwestern Medical and Law libraries near Chicago and Fairbanks downtown are ideal locations, but not a must!
