Current student at Columbia College Chicago pursuing a degree in Television Writing. I went to Dearborn High School in Dearborn MI. I have scored highly in History, Reading and Writing categories on standardized tests. I had ADD as a child, was medicated and was able to come up with different ways of learning for myself. I know longer need medication as it got better with age!
Experience
No previous tutoring experience, But i have worked at different summer camps with special needs children and typical K-8 students as well. I think that I am very unique in that I was a "problem child" as a kid, not the best student primarily because I was not the best learner, or I did not know how to learn. The school system didn't have the capabilities it has today when I was in elementary school to teach kids with special needs, or just kids with ADD/ADHD. I sought help elsewhere and learned a lot doing so in how to stay focused and how to teach myself what I was being taught at school.
