I have extensive English grammar tutoring experience, as well as experience tutoring my fellow students in political science as an undergrad. I scored a combined 312 on the GRE, most impressively in the 91st percentile in the verbal reasoning section. I have professional experience with many high-visibility organizations, including: The Democratic Party of Illinois, The Office of Senator Dick Durbin, The Greater Chicago Food Depository, and the United States Coast Guard. I worked a year or so at AARP Experience Corps managing a SalesForce database before deciding to return to school to pursue an MBA. With my MBA, I plan to gain a position in association management. My undergraduate thesis, concerning income inequality and revolutions, was presented at a major university conference. I am a big sports fan, BlackHawks and Cubs mostly. My favorite fictional book is most likely A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole. It's hilarious! I am currently reading A Visit From the Goon Squad, by Jennifer Egan, which is a fictional novel set around the rock music industry. Finally, music is very important to me. I most listen to alternative rock. My favorite bands are Rage Against the Machine, Jack Johnson, Dropkick Murphys, Frank Turner, Rise Against, Atmosphere, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many others. Oh, and I have a fifteen-year-old brother with whom I am very close. I like to say I taught him everything he knows!
