Experience
After graduating from Butler University in 2015, I moved to Prague where I received a certificate to teach English as a foreign language. I spent a year teaching at public schools in the Czech Republic before moving to Vienna, Austria, where I tutored high school students in a diverse array of subjects ranging from calculus to philosophy. My four-year stint abroad ended in the summer of 2019, when I moved back to my native Chicago to teach at an international school in the Loop. That summer, I also began preparing local high school students for ACT/SAT exams. I believe instilling a sense of curiosity in a student can make even the most arduous academic tasks (even the much-loathed Science section of the ACT!) intrinsically rewarding.
