You could say that academics is a way of life for some people. I definitely feel I have made my way into this category, after I mostly completed a PhD in English from Loyola University. After that endeavor, I began a career of the written word. Yes, I am a geek for language. I instructed Academic Decathlon students on the art that is Shakespeare. I helped students with college readiness and prep tests so they could get into the academic institutions of their liking. I personally love to edit essay drafts. I am skilled with helping them work through their writing issues, whether it be style, clarity, consistency, narrative, or mechanics and structure. When helping students prepare for exams, I first try to determine the process of the test itself to identify a strategy. I try to not take myself so seriously, so in my spare time you can find me going on a hike or bicycle ride around Chicago or some far off country in the forest. Over the course of twelve months or so, I have been crafting a romance novel based in post apocalypse world with zombies. I hope to have it published one day. I also like to read a book or two on my smartphone from time to time.
