EducationVanderbilt University - Bachelors, Human and Organizational Development
ExperienceI'm a Vanderbilt University student pursuing a human and organizational development degree. My program focuses on identifying problems within communities and figuring out how to solve them. I like to work for an educational nonprofit after I graduate, and I'm also interested in teaching. I've always been amazed by the learning process, and I think education is the greatest gift one can receive.
As a tutor, I've had the opportunity to work with middle school students in a number of different areas through an after school program. I used tutoring myself to prepare for the ACT, and I was able to increase my score enough to get into Vanderbilt. I realize how valuable tutoring can be, and I've developed a lot of test taking skills that I can share with my students.
I use a flexible approach and modify my style to match whatever is most effective for my students. I believe every student can achieve success, and it's up to me to figure out how to make that happen.
In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar, running, reading, and watching television.
