Experience
I was a teaching assistant at the University of Oregon for 5 quarters, where I TA'd introductory geology and environmental science classes as well as graduate level geophysics courses. I really enjoyed my TA experience in grad school, which is why I want to get more involved in tutoring. I have a strong background in math, which was required for geophysics. I received a 5 on the AP Calc BC test, and have taken linear algebra, differential equations, and finite differences. I also use Matlab and Python on a daily basis. Early November 2018, I wrapped up an internship with ExxonMobil as a geoscientist and have also done an internship with National Security Technologies (2013).
