Hobbies

Having been a tutor since I was 16 I have come to develop a keen understanding of what it is each individual student struggles with, and thus I tailor my tutoring to each student's unique needs. In particular, I aim to first obtain a sense of the student's strengths and weaknesses, and from there try to guide their intuitions by letting them work through problems such that I can interject at precisely the moment any particular difficulty is realized. I have found this to be optimal in developing strong understanding, as it focuses the conceptual difficulty at hand. With progression, I also like to try to encourage various methods of positive work habits and ways for the student to work effectively on their own. Seeing students overcome their stumbling blocks and reach the deep kind of understanding that makes for true understanding is a goal I am always thrilled to fulfill.
