Learning is valuable, and people should enjoy it for the opportunities and knowledge it provides. When students embrace learning, they will develop their intellectual selves more fully and more efficiently. My goal as a tutor is to help students get to this point. I connect with students personally so I can relate concepts to things students enjoy and understand. This makes abstract ideas easier to comprehend and retain. I want to provide my students with a full comprehension of subjects so that they can apply their knowledge critically and learn independently. My experience includes being a camp counselor, where I helped young people in many facets of life and learning. I went to Michigan State University to earn my bachelor's degree in economics, and I currently work for an asset management firm. I can assist students in elementary and middle school math, algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, economics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, and business. In my free time, I like to ski, hike, study entrepreneurship, and travel.
