Experience

While I was in college, I volunteered at a local elementary school. This is what made me become interested in helping young children learn. While I was volunteering in the elementary school, I helped teach students in grades K-4. I taught them how to comprehend and read text. Most recently, I have been teaching second through fourth grades and next I will be teaching fifth grade. I love teaching young math pupils the subject because I simply enjoy using manipulatives, tangible or virtual to aid in student learning. I have recently been tutoring children in groups of three students. Right now, I am studying to add a math endorsement to my teaching license. Also, I will be further improving my practice by going back to college for my Ed.D. degree. I am looking forward to using my knowledge and background to teach others. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and organizing events.
