Experience
I have a doctorate from the College of William and Mary in American studies, a masters degree from Sarah Lawrence College in women's history, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri in English literature and linguistics. I've been able to study abroad in Germany and France, and I also earned a German minor as an undergraduate. I've spent the past 15 years teaching, tutoring, and consulting. This includes teaching at the high school level and college level. I've also been a curriculum developer for public schools in the New York City area. In addition, I've tutored SAT preparation and essays to middle school and high school students. Some of the courses I've taught include literature, women's studies, chess, and history at schools like Hunter College, Brown University, Sarah Lawrence College, and Columbia. I can assist students in writing, essays, literature, history, German, English, public speaking, and test preparation for exams like the PSAT and SAT. In my free time, I like to sing, write, travel, dance, cook, read, and play with my dog.
