I'm Weilong, and I'm currently attending Northwestern University for my degree in genetic counseling in the Feinberg School of Medicine. A genetic counselor is someone who explains the results of genetic testing to patients. To be successful in this role, I need to be adept in my ability to discuss complex ideas in ways that are easy for people to understand. This skill is also very useful in tutoring. When I work with students, I concentrate on explaining complex ideas in simple ways and tailoring my approach to match the needs and learning style of each student that I work with. I believe that this is the best path to success. I enjoy tutoring students in chemistry, biology, algebra, English, reading, writing, study skills, test preparation, and more. In my free time, I like to play video games, socialize, read, cook, and exercise.
