I graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in religious studies. Shortly after graduation, I enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Chicago and am currently working towards my master's in social work. As someone who loves getting the opportunity to help others, I enjoy tutoring because I think that everyone deserves to perform at their highest level in the classroom. I think that education is more than just preparing for one test or assignment, but rather developing a wide range of skills that will ensure future success throughout one's life. Along with psychology, some of my other favorite subjects to tutor include SAT test prep, English, and math. I believe that it's important to work with students to help them find the solutions to their problems, rather than spoon-feed them the answers. In my experience, the best way to teach is to come up with individualized lessons that focus on the strengths of a student, so that they're able to improve using the skills they already have. When I'm not working in education, I like to spend my time with friends and family. My hobbies include cooking, traveling abroad, and doing Zumba.
