Private tutor in Chicago, IL
Purdue University - Bachelors, Atmospheric Sciences
I'm a tutor who is currently based out of Chicago, where I enjoy playing sports, sailing, and painting when I'm not in the classroom working with my students. I graduated from Purdue University, where I received my bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary sciences, with a focus in earth, atmospheric, and planetary sciences in particular. I also received minors in both communication and entrepreneurship and innovation. For as long as I can remember, I've always had a passion for tutoring. This first expressed itself in middle school for me, where I began helping elementary students with their coursework. In high school, I began helping students in middle school with their math and science courses. I've also spent many hours volunteering for organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Society of Women in Engineering, and more. There's nothing quite like the feeling I get when I'm really able to make a difference in a student's life. I know that math can be a difficult subject for many students, and that's why I'm most passionate about tutoring it. I have a breadth of knowledge in the field of math that I absolutely love sharing with my students. I like to engage with my students to figure out where their own strengths and weaknesses lie, and then build upon the foundation that they already have in place.
