Experience
I have tutored K-12 students in a variety of subjects for the past 10+ years. I began by tutoring elementary and middle school students in 2000, but expanded to high school age students in 2004. I've worked with public school students in California & Illinois, as well as boarding school students at Concord Academy in Concord, MA. Helping my students identify their strengths, improve their weaknesses & eventually reach their goal is my passion. I believe this can be accomplished by setting small, attainable goals each week. If possible, I like to speak with my students/their parents over the phone before tutoring begins so I can be prepared to most efficiently use our time together. My goal is to help my students master the concepts they are studying, as well as develop organization & study skills. I have expectations for my students & myself. I expect my students to be willing to learn & work hard; for myself, I to be able to help them so and see gradual, measurable improvement each week.

Hobbies
When I'm not busy running my own business or tutoring, you could find me enjoying Chicago's arts and music scene, along the lake front, cooking, reading or watching movies. I have equal passion for fashion, the Chicago Bears & soccer. In high school, I was involved in band AND sports so I understand a busy schedule. I am kind, positive, organized, empathetic, and patient.
