Stephanie G.
Private tutor in Chicago, IL
Education
I'm currently a Junior majoring in Spanish at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I have an Associate of Arts from Kishwaukee College, a community college 60 west of Chicago. While I was attending community college, I took a wide variety of glasses ranging from C++ to acting. I have a GPA of 3.69 and am currently taking Spanish, biology, and organic chemistry. In high school I realized how much I enjoyed learning the tenses and forms of Spanish. The accents are the my specialty.
Experience
Personally, I have never tutored before, but I have a deep passion for wanting to tutor kids and young adults. I truly believe tutoring helps students made different connections with the material as opposed to just going to class. I am majoring in Spanish, but have had a passion for it since high school. I enjoy the different tenses and forms of the Spanish language. I'm a native Spanish speaker, which means I'm bicultural as well and can teach about what is/isn't socially acceptable in Latin culture. I would be happy to teach kids Spanish and math. I would just like to get my foot in the door and start tutoring. I think it would be very rewarding.

Hobbies
One of my hobbies include learning french. I am so fascinated with languages, so my future goal is to be a polyglot by being fluent in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Russian. While attending my community college, I was able to study abroad in France and learn significantly more French language and culture. I also enjoy watching films, but not just for the sake of watching. I l pay attention to the production, editing, directing, and acting more so than the movie itself. I have high values. Lastly, I like to hang out with people who like to talk about ideas, not people.
