Education

New York University - BA, Anthropology , University of Chicago - MA, Middle Eastern Studies

Experience

I possess a Bachelor of Arts from New York University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from National Louis University, and a Master of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Chicago. I feel that these degrees make me a well-rounded and educated individual. As a teacher, I instructed the Arabic language in the Chicago Public School system for many years. My experience as a tutor includes a variety of courses, such as English and Spanish I and II. I have taught at various grade levels ranging from third through 12th. I am also qualified to help students prepare for college entrance exams, such as the ACT and the SAT. One of my strong points is my ability to connect with kids and ascertain new ways of inspiring student learning. I believe that each of my students is special and, therefore, the manner in which I teach each student must be individualized. In my free time, I enjoy running, traveling, photography, and cross-stitching.
