Experience
I attended Loyola University in Chicago, where I got my Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, minoring in Physics. I earned my Master of Science at Carnegie Mellon in Chemistry, with a focus on Theoretical and Physical Chemistry. I'm currently pursuing a master's degree in Data Science from IIT. My experience as a teacher of the sciences at a reputable independent high school in Chicago has made me a skilled educator and qualified tutor. I've worked with students in small classroom settings. I've also made sure to be available for individualized help outside of class. I've chosen to stop teaching full-time, but I've missed working with students in their academic pursuits. I make sure to be a patient and attentive educator, and I focus on proper pacing when working with students. I have expertise tutoring Chemistry (General and Organic), Physics, Statistics, Algebra, and AP and Honors Science courses. I particularly enjoy working with students in Statistics and Physics. These subjects tend to be very intimidating, and I like to work with students to demystify the material. I encourage students to relish in their learning process, rather than focus exclusively on end results (this is especially important when studying Math and Science). I'm a true science and programming nerd, but I also enjoy video games, board games, playing the piano, and hanging out with friends.
