Experience
A cultural aficionado, I have been all around the world and would like to share my love of the languages I speak with others. I graduated, in 2007, from Williams College. I was then awarded a Watson Fellowship, which provided me with the opportunity to travel to Eastern Europe. When I returned to the United States, I started on my PhD of Comparative Literature at Northwestern University. Last year, I completed that degree. While at Northwestern, I taught English and Spanish classes. I have also traveled extensively to places like Berlin, Paris, and Buenos Aires, where I lived and studied for three years.Language Arts is the subject I enjoy teaching the most. This involves exploring good novels and learning to craft top-notch written pieces. My style of instruction is different than some may be used to because I allow students to foster their own unique style of intellect. I am comfortable with my students and like to be more of a guide than a dictator. I want those I teach to be comfortable approaching me with any questions or needs they may have. I also want to teach them to view even the menial, educational tasks as exciting.I'm always learning. My face is often in a book, and I've delved into the history of medicine. Now, I'm even teaching myself to play the ukulele!
