I am a tutor with extensive experience studying and teaching science. I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in science. After graduation, I attended the University of Louisville and obtained a medical degree. Additionally, I have experience tutoring a wide variety of science related topics including chemistry, biology, anatomy, microbiology, physiology, and pharmacology. I am comfortable tutoring small groups or individuals. While I am capable of tutoring many subjects, I am the most passionate about microbiology because I enjoy learning and teaching about organisms at the cellular level.My philosophy as a tutor emphasizes helping students understand a subject by creating context. Science is something that should be viewed as fun, and I like helping students discover how enjoyable science can be. Every student has the ability to succeed and achieve their goals, but sometimes their ability to achieve success is a matter of how they approach a subject. Showing them that science can be fun and interesting can go a long way. In my free time, I enjoy participating in yoga and watching baseball and basketball. I am a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kentucky Wildcats.
