Experience
I enjoyed my college education because of the dedicated professors who taught me along the way, and they inspired me to become a teacher. I feel that every person deserves to have a great education. I believe that every student has unique potential and that it is my duty to help them access it. During my tutoring sessions, I work with a student's current knowledge and interests to customize a learning plan specific to their needs. I find making a direct connection between the student and the material is the most effective manner of teaching. Students are more deeply interested and invested in the learning process when they are able to see how it relates to them. I strive to provide my students with an enjoyable and positive learning experience that is well worth their time. I earned my Bachelor of Arts at Butler University in English Literature. My Master of Education was earned at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Some of my personal interests are digital photography, catching a great sports game (football, soccer, or any other major sport), listening to music, reading, and watching quality TV.
