Experience
I have extensive experience in the field of education and have taught a variety of students at different institutions. I have taught English classes in Grammar and Composition and Honors English III to high school students. In addition, I taught research-intensive composition to undergraduates, English 1100 and 1200 classes, and assisted students with essay writing in the First-Year Writing Studio at East Carolina University. I worked as an instructor for Forsyth Technical Community College, teaching Developmental English and Reading and served as an online instructor at Ashford University, teaching Composition and Literature. Currently, I live in Chicago and will soon be starting a position as an professor at DeVry University. I tutor various subjects under the English umbrella, including Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, and College Essays.I obtained a both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in English from East Carolina University. I have had the honor of having a poem, essay, and photographs published in different art and literary magazines. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, riding my bike, writing, and photography.
