Experience
Nanny and tutor throughout high school and college to children ages 18 months-14 years. Great deal of experience teaching children to read and engage with school work. I am especially talented in essay and academic writing, courtesy of my own education. I currently work with people of all ages and education levels on editing and proof reading. Most recently I have worked helping adults returning to fine art graduate programs to write application essays and hone artist statements and portfolio presentations. My work in the law is largely academic, and as such I have excellent academic writing skills, reading comprehension and retention skills, as well as a keen eye for editing and citation. (Especially important for older high school age children who may need extra help before entering the college environment!) I have experience teaching people aged 2-65 to read, and especially love helping kids in primary and secondary school engage with their studies personally to nurture their relationships with learning in general.

Hobbies
When I am not writing legal articles, I can generally be found writing non-fiction essays, poetry, humor and commentary. I am a voracious consumer of books, music and food. I can occasionally be seen at The Moth and other story-telling events. I am also an avid runner and rock-climber. I am always trying to concoct new ways to go back to school.
